Only if there is no object key involved, or in other words device oriented, the import directory gets saved while importing. So this should exactly follow the description.
But if any object is selected it will always use the object directory as the import location.
Some devices does not support an specific location for the gathered data associated to the purpose. To be able to remember the object association after the data was gathered it makes sense to copy the data directly after gathering into the object related directory and import from there.
For instance I have three planes where I move the GPS-Logger each flight. The logged data get a different file name number. After some time I only see files with different numbers and dates but I do not have any association to the object.

hope this helps

There seems to be a problem as DataExplorer doesn´t remember the last used directory for importing data.

- start DataExplorer
- import data
- choose another directory (2) compared to the default one (1)
- look at the pretty lines and colors ;-)
- restart DataExplorer
- import data

I would expect that directory (2) is shown after restart, but again it is (1).

Fixed and checked in, will be available in next release 3.03.

Part wise already fixed in 3.02. But still under construction since I want to combine this with object directories.

This bug is more an enhancement request and is related to devices from SM. Other devices might hold data and setup in identical directories.

Loading setup, should always find the setup directory, since for the most devices we have a fixed name for it.
Importing data in device in device related mode should open the latest selected device data folder.
Importing data while a object is selected the object folder should display files which can be imported.

Hi,

I open the data files from my UniLog2 from "I:\SM UniLog 2 v1.04". After that, I want to change something from the setup, so I open the files from "I:\SM UniLog 2 setup" via the setup configuration dialog.

When I then want to import some more data, DataExplorer uses the setup folder instead of the data folder "I:\SM UniLog 2 v1.04".

It would be more comfortable, if DataExplorer could remember the last used data directory separatly from the setup directory.

Thx,
Lars
