Hello,
I think that Bino should be merged to the XBMC project (as a plugin or as a full merge of projects) because:
1) Both Projects are written in C/C++ language (therefore, it wouldn't be so hard to merge them)
2) Both projects are Cross-Platform (there wouldn't be OS issues within merge itself)
3) XBMC will have the main features of Bino, making it the best 3D Stereoscopic player, with Multi-Display capabilities.
4) Bino would have more developers and more performance, since it will use XBMC well-known decoding and rendering proper system (with Hardware Acceleration VDPAU and DXVA2 already implemented as well as deinterlacing feature) and it will have more users too (since XBMC exists since 2003 and is further known than Bino)
5) Bino would have DLNA certification (since XBMC Core does the UPnP networking handling)
Therefore, I think that both projects would have advantages with the merge. Making a new fully featured, better supported project that handles all types of media (2D/3D), formats (.MKV; .AVI; etc) and Operational Systems (Windows/Linux and optionally MacOSX).
Best Regards,
