Hi,

Dailymotion support is fixed in trunk. Please report any issues about it in a separate bug report. Thanks.

Hi,

Glad to hear you resolved the problem. Don't worry it is better to be false alarm than nobody reporting it while it is a real one. :)

The flash plugin is needed, because the a website checks to see if it is present and only then inserts the swf video object. To work-around this Linterna Mágica parses the JavaScript in the page and scans for objects when there is no plugin for flash. I guess the Dailymotion and Ted parsers are broken or need tweaking.

I've tried with and without Gnash enabled, but no luck. Will test it again. Will close this bug after than.

Hello,

It may be that the script was not installed properly, I deleted it and reinstalled it (rev 329)and it appears to be working now. My apologies for the false alarm.

I am surprised to hear that it doesn't work on daily motion and ted on abrowser because on my end LM works perfectly on these sites. I tested it with Firefox 16.01 on Fedora 17 and FF 16.02 on Ubuntu 12.04. However you have to have some kind of flash plugin installed (Adobe flash on Ubuntu and Totem-vegas on Fedora even though t-v actually doesn't work) If I disable the flash plugins then indeed LM doesn't work.

Hi,

This sounds serious, but I am unable to reproduce it with Abrowser (Firefox clone) 16.02 on YouTube.

By Ted Tv I guess you meant ted.com, which I can confirm is not working. Dailymotion as well is broken. I've tested rev 329 as it is available from Savannah's download area. I've also compiled it locally.

Could you share more information?

For example, what is your browser version?

Do you have more than one Linterna Mágica versions? If you enable the debug [1] option in Linterna Mágica does it render the web log part of the interface? Could you share those debug messages? Preferably as an attachment.

Are Ted and Dailymotion working with r323?

I've tested trunk builds. Did you as well? I'm trying to narrow the scope and locate the problem.

Unfortunately it is getting harder to catch up with websites since the time I am able to dedicate to the project is decreasing. By reporting bugs you are improving the overall state of Linterna Mágica. Thank you for reporting!

Hi,

Rev 329 apparent doesn't work at all. Tried it on Youtube, Ted Tv and daily motion (just pick any random video) and none of it worked. It is as though LM is not installed at all. But Rev 323 works for all of them (I test by enabling and disabling either in grease monkey). This happens in Firefox.
