The MP3 case was sorted, you will have to delete your cached magic file to make it work.

This message was displayed when the file could not be classified. I can not do more than displaying the file name.

This is a bug in file_server (which is/was not handling the case of unknown file), but not in the classification code itself.

Unlike what you seems to think most file can be classified. I am still looking but the file which are failing on my computer are :
- sfv,nfo,txt files (no info can be extracted from those anyway)
- dat file (which should not be published)
- some mp3 (I will have to look why).

The MP3 unclassification can be caused by either:
- Diffent encodage unrecognised by the magic file
- Bug in the magic file
- Bug in classify
- Mix of the previous

I've just tried out the new code. I'm not sure whether or not it fixed the initial bug, as I got a stream of these:

Exception caught while classifying file /home/pmoulder/tmp/c2/download/x: <exceptions.TypeError instance at 0x8c2411c>Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/pmoulder/wd/circle-savannah/circlelib/file_server.py", line 684, in build_file
if len(information[key]) >= min_search_keyword_len:
TypeError: len() of unsized object

I've done a diff to check that I don't have any changes in my copy that could have caused this; the only diff is the code to do reporting of the file_server/classifier exceptions (attached).

I've set the severity to 5, as this is what Thomas Mangin adjusted the last classifier bug report to, and this one seems to occur more often. (The last bug occurred only once, whereas this one occurs for most/all files.)
