From the ChangeLog:
---------------------------------------------------
2012-06-27 Werner Lemberg <wl@gnu.org>

Fix conditional compilation.

  • include/freetype/internal/ftcalc.h (FT_MulDiv_No_Round): Don't

enclose with `TT_USE_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER'; we now need the function
elsewhere also.
-------------------------------------------------------

From src/base/ftcalc.c:

----------------------------------

#ifdef TT_USE_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER

/* documentation is in ftcalc.h */

FT_BASE_DEF( FT_Long )
FT_MulDiv_No_Round( FT_Long a,
FT_Long b,
FT_Long c )
-------------------------------------

thus, choosing to not use the byte code interpreter now results in an unusable build of libfreetype.so ...
