It should be fixed.
Tests are welcome, thanks!

You'll not be able to reproduce this on any non-inspircd network.

I can reproduce this without cygwin, with weechat 0.4.3 on irc.chatspike.net under an ssl connection.

Hi,

I just tested SSL in cygwin (connection to freenode) and I noticed there the messages are slowly received (very slow compared to non-SSL connection).
I don't have this problem on Linux (Debian Sid).

So I wonder if the problem is not in Cygwin version of GnuTLS?

Can someone confirm that?

I built version 0.4.3 for Cygwin two days ago, but only for 32-bit cygwin (I don't have 64-bit machine any more to build packages).
And I forgot to send announcement on mailing list, will do it now.

Can you try to run WeeChat in Linux (or any other free OS like BSD), to check if the problem is specific to Cygwin (which is possible)?

I recommend to not run WeeChat on Cygwin if you can, it is very slow and not as comfortable as Linux. Even if you run WeeChat in a virtual machine on Windows (running Linux), it will be a lot faster than Cygwin.

I'm running weechat from the cygwin package and I don't see the 0.4.3 package there yet so I cannot update.

My libgnutls28 version is 3.2.0-4, in cygwin.

Hi,

Can you try with 0.4.3 (latest stable), just to be sure if the problem is still there? (it should be, I didn't change SSL stuff to read messages from server).

For SSL, WeeChat does same things as with non-SSL connections: it reads all messages in packets received. So maybe it's related to GnuTLS calls.
Please give me your GnuTLS version, which is important for SSL.

This bug is fully described in this github issue: https://github.co ... spircd/issues/768

ElementalAlchemist seems to describe what causes this and how to fix it in his last two posts on the github issue.
