I need someone to write the code and test it since I don't have a color managed system. Unless someone steps up, I will have to close this as 'Won't Fix'.

Some X11 compositing window managers are capable of full-screen ICC-based color correction. This includes at least compiz 0.8 with the third-party CompICC plugin and kwin. If such a window manager is running, it will attempt to color-correct Bino output, too. As this will mix the monitor's primaries, this is inappropriate (because of ghosting) for 3D modes that use color glasses.

A way to disable color correction for certain window regions is documented here:

http://oyranos.org/scm?p=xcolor.git;a=blob;f=docs/X_Color_Management.txt

Please set the _ICC_COLOR_REGIONS atom on the video window (opting it out of color correction) as described there if color glasses are used.
