Edit: I finally figured out that the "grabbing" can be disabled with gksu-properties. This improves accessibility.

However it was very hard to get this info.
First: Someone had to tell me, that the program is called gksu. It is nowhere stated in the popup itself. And it's hard to google something without a name.
Second: The settings dialogue has no verbal connection to the password popup. Just putting the words "privilege granting" into the password popup box too, would make things a lot less obscure.

A short note/link/button from the password entry box to the settings would make the connection even more clear.
I had no idea at all what "privilege granting" is meant to do.

There is no way to input the password when the user does not use a hardware keyboard. The overlay blocks the entire screen + onscreen keyboards.

I tested it with onboard on a manjaro xfce tablet pc. I tried different settings that change focus behaviour and accessibility and could not find a way to disable the screen blocking and input my password.
