Feature added for version 2.5.4
The requested std deviation "filtering" in spectral/temporal domain is supported in two different modes.
-f stdev -dz 1 : calculate single output band containing stdev of all input bands
-f stdev -dz n : (n > 1 and n < number of input bands) calculate stdev in a moving window of size n over spectral/temporal domain. Number of output bands equals number of input bands

Currently, the std deviation and other operators (?) are only implemented in the spatial domain:

pkfilter -i input.tif -o output.tif -f stdev

It would be great to have the ability to use mathmatical and statistical operators in the temporal/spectral domain:

pkfilter -i multiband.tif -o output.tif -dz 1 -f stdev

In the above line, "-dz 1" indicates that the operation is to be run as the spectral/temporal filter rather than spatial filter

I don't believe any other FOSS-based geospatial command-line tools have this ability, so this would be an excellent addition to already excellent suite of tools.
