For whatever reason, I see the attachment now.

winvile does have a "-geometry" option which could be related,
for instance if you are using the file-explorer add-on.
As I read the source for w32reg.c, if you re-register
winvile -

http://invisible-island.net/vile/oleauto.html

then it would overwrite (and omit perhaps) any geometry option.

(If it is not that -- no, I don't know either).

Ok, so I love WinVile. I have been using VI since the 70's.

I am running Windows 10 and Nvidia graphics and although my memory is getting bad WinVile 'was' working fine. I don't know what I did or what Windows/Nvidia might have done. I can't run a system restore for some silly microsoft reason but the long and short of it, WinVile is coming up in some strange mini window mode with no frame (ie, I can't resize it).

Attached is a photo of my desktop with WinVile open, you know, picture worth a thousand words....

Hope you have seen this before.
