to the OP,

Does any of the above errors(except the GnomeApp bug) still exist in 0.19? If not, I will close this bug. Cheers.

It was one of:

Linux Journal
Linux.Com: Newsforge Reports
LinuxGames
LinuxSecurity.com

I THINK it was the second one.

The 'on_offline_dialog_delete_event' error is already fixed. The GnomeApp one is a bug in pygtk 1.99.x.

Do you have the devel package installed? I think it has the pkgconfig file that the configure script is looking for.

The GnomeApp one? Or the offline_dialog one? The GnomeApp one can be safely ignored. There is another bug in about it, but it is just a warning and the program functions fine even getting that error.

Last One, I promise ...

Make sure to do a

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-thread

when compiling pygtk

Oh yeah, you may need to get a new version of pygtk as well

Looks like you have an either incorrectly installed or are missing gnome-python. I know I had some troubles with the RPMs when I first started using straw. Grab the latest version from:

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gnome-python/1.99/

And then do:

configure --prefix=/usr
make
make install

And see if that clears up the error.

Looks like you have a bad /etc/resolv.conf, you should take a look at that. It should just have lines like domain, search or nameserver.
