Hi, you're using a very old version of ranger which guides you to the wrong bug tracker. We're using github now, and I added your bug report there: https://github.com/hut/ranger/issues/537

The bug still exists though. For now, please simply avoid recursive alias definitions.

I just downloaded and built ranger not too long ago.  I created an alias to open a terminal.  I typed ":alias terminal terminal --working-directory=." so that when the terminal opens, it opens already in the directory ranger is in.  After creating this alias, I immediately typed ":terminal" to see if the alias would do what I though it would. The new terminal opened how I expected, but then shortly after (~1-2 seconds), ranger crashed with no further input from me.  Attached is the output.
