push-mirror has been reimplemented and renamed to mirror in patch-285. This should make it more clear how to use mirrors.

After having several of us have to think about how to do this,
it's probably worth having docs about how to implement this type
of "work in private archive, publish to public archive" workflow.

As far as I can tell, there are two basic options: using
push-mirror (and getting the logical names for the archive set up
in what is probably a non-intuitive way), and using a branch with
revision caching.
