It was a bug in the libc package. I've updated the package and rebuilt the installer. It works again now.

Ucclia's image with Wheezy's libresolv.so works. So there's something wrong with our libresolv. I'm going to build Wheezy's images once in a Wheezy chroot and once in an Ucclia chroot. I expect the former to work and the latter to fail.

I rebuilt the image, but it still segfaults. It's the same for i386 (#47092). We don't modify wget, libresolv nor any development tools, so I don't get why this is happening.

For a normal process I'd run it with strace or a debugger. But this is not started from a terminal and the image is built without debugging symbols.

Checking the diff with Wheezy is not very useful because we can only compare binaries.

I'll replace wget or libresolv with Wheezy's files and test again. This could narrow it down to either (or neither and then it's something else entirely).

I tested again tonight, and this time I noticed that it's Wget that segfaults as well.
I have attached a image showing the error.

Renaud says that the amd64 installer works for him [1]. Though this is not the kind of error message I'd associate with hardware specific issues.

I've not yet had time to try the installer again myself, but I did do a successful installation before I published the images.

It fails when I select a archive mirror, everything up
until that point works fine.

The live iso fails to boot on my machine, so I have to use the net
installer.

It just fails with the message:
"An error has been detected while trying to use the specified debian
archive mirror.
Possible reasons for the error are : incorrect mirror
specified .... ... .. .. .. etc"

in the log it says:

mirror does not have any suite symlinks.
mirror does not support the specified release (ucclia).
