Since Qt5 is now the default anyway, I consider this problem solved.

I built new version (bino-1.6.5) with qt5, now it works and doesn't freeze.
But if it is built with qt4 (bino-1.6.5), it freezes again

Gentoo, KDE plasma 5
media-video/bino-1.6.1-r2::gentoo USE="-debug -doc -libav -lirc"

with GUI: it works only in window mode, if I press 'f' or fullscreen button it freezes deadly (even audio freezes, and can't close window gracefully, only kill a process)

meanwhile nothing interesting in console (stdout/stderr)

with CLI: I can run from console "bino --input=... --output=... -n -f video.mkv' and it works, but now when I try to switch to window (press 'f' or 'esc') it freezes the same way.
If I try to run bino without gui and without fullscreen (-n, but not -f) it freezes immediately, after launch

---
previously (in times of kde 4) there were no problems
