I updated to version 17.7.6, and now the tablet works properly.
Good catch, I recommend you close this issue.

Thank you for the bug report. Can you please retest after
upgrading to PicoLisp interpreter version 16.12 or later? The
source for 16.12 is available from the download area:

http://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/dr-theobold/picoLisp-16.12.tgz

And it is also available as a package in Debian Stretch.

I tried several times and ways. First, if I am typing it wrong, it should
accept my answer, and not error, just telling me the instructions again. If
I am typing correctly, then it seems to have stopped working.
