This has long since been fixed.  User should upgrade.

Is this still a problem in git head?

Current version is 3.18.1.  Are you really using something that ancient?

I'm using gpsd to receive a stream from aishub.net as well as my own AIS receiver.

This produces a traffic of about 400 messages per second.

Very few of them have broken json.

In the most common case, the \n delimiter between json objects is missing after type=6 messages of class "AIS".

Here is an example:
{"class":"AIS","device":"tcp://data.aishub.net:4861","type":6,"repeat":0,"mmsi":211521310,"scaled":true,"seqno":0,"dest_mmsi":2268401,"retransmit":true,"dac":200,"fid":55,"crew":255,"passengers":8191,"personnel":255}{"class":"AIS","device":"tcp://data.aishub.net:4861","type":1,"repeat":0,"mmsi":309163000,"scaled":true,"status":0,"status_text":"Under way using engine","turn":0,"speed":0.1,"accuracy":false,"lon":23.5575,"lat":37.9618,"course":109.0,"heading":17,"second":18,"maneuver":0,"raim":false,"radio":59916}

Regards

Sven
