Fixed this issue by only setting up a keep alive object when the application (in this case the internals of clanlib) actually uses the damn signals.

I believe this is a dead-lock between the main thread and the worker thread, caused by CL_KeepAlive being constructed at the same time a CL_System::keep_alive() call is being processed.

calling stop_listen() got the app freezed. It's like the app
got stuck in a loop.

Tracing the source, I've found out that it happened
at line 248 of netsession_generic.cpp

accept_socket = CL_Socket(CL_Socket::tcp);
