First, this post should be in DCTC, not in dc_gui2 because it is DCTC which performs the downloads.

As you show it, it looks like interesting but there is a problem, it could not work. When you describe the download process, you mention only one running download source but by default, DCTC runs with 3 running download sources. Ideally, the 3 sources start simultaneously and have the same speed and then, each source downloads 1/3 of the file. If the problem is not visible for the source downloading from the beginning of the file, when the 2nd source starts at the 2nd third of the file, it cannot perform the check you want because the first third of the file is not yet downloaded.

DCTC includes a CRC checker but to work properly, it requires a compatible hub and a compatible remote client (which can be different from the client from which the download occurs). Unfortunately, it is hard to find all this conditions at the same time because currently, only DCTC and dchub have this feature.

Would it be possible to add integrity checking when stopped download is started to continue possibly from another source by downloading of few KB of end of already downloaded part?

Let's say that we have downlaoded first 200KB of the file, then dctc was stopped or source disconected us, so if we continue with the download, we could validate the new source not only by the same size, but also part of the content, for example 16KB, and compare the last 16KB of previously downlaoded part and 16KB from new source and if they match, continue, otherwise error.

How many KB to check could be set by option.

I think this is quite important feature worth to be implemented.

Thanks a lot:-)
