Maybe there should array with a backend list instead of false/true to pick what you need

either alsa or libdssialsacompat is required, preferred is alsa for sure.

When I am trying to build a project for the first time. I spot that alsa option is disabled by default. But some dependencies sound like they are mandatory and they are defined within alsa option like libdssi.

How this should work?
Maybe we can add some OS-based default options?
