Thanks a lot for the patch. Fixed it anyway. FYI, there's a feed.error so I put it there instead of putting it directly in the item description.

The attached patch stops the exception from being thrown out and replaces the offending description with an error message. I guess the original description could just be stored without being parsable (not sure how gtkhtml would handle it) but that would ignore the image cache.

BTW. With the patch applied the feeds in bugs #6136 and #6137 can be polled.
