fnmatch has been replaced by regcomp/regexec (POSIX functions). We do not know whether or not they will be available under Win32.

I change this bug summary to reflect the fact that it is only a Win32 portability problem (low priority).

We want fnmatch to be insensitive to case and to work on win32. This probably means we will have to rewrite an fnmatch() function.
