Thu 27 Nov 2003 01:50:49 PM UTC, original submission:

If clanNetwork is included after clanGL in GNU/Linux the compiler bails out due to a parse error:

#include <ClanLib/gl.h>
#include <ClanLib/network.h>

->

In file included from /home/ingo/run/ClanLib-0.7-current/include/ClanLib-0.7/ClanLib/network.h:41,
from test.cc:2:
/home/ingo/run/ClanLib-0.7-current/include/ClanLib-0.7/ClanLib/Network/IRC/dcc_download.h:63: error: syntax
error before `int'
/home/ingo/run/ClanLib-0.7-current/include/ClanLib-0.7/ClanLib/Network/IRC/dcc_download.h:76: error: missing
';' before right brace
/home/ingo/run/ClanLib-0.7-current/include/ClanLib-0.7/ClanLib/Network/IRC/dcc_download.h:95: error: syntax
error before `public'
/home/ingo/run/ClanLib-0.7-current/include/ClanLib-0.7/ClanLib/Network/IRC/dcc_download.h:103: error: syntax
error before `private'

This is caused by clanNetwork using the name Status and Xlib.h defining Status as:

/usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xlib.h:#define Status int

Possible fixes are either to do a #undef Status in the clanNetwork code, rename Status to something else or keeping the X11 headers out of the API.
