This occurs when data is already unicoded but we're still passing it to unicode_field thereby python tries to decode it but fails (not supported) and we don't want that anyway (decoding the data). So catch TypeError and don't do anything on it.

New feedparser makes things much better, but now getting this on some feeds:

Unknown exception when parsing RSS: decoding Unicode is not supported

Dan Gilmor's is a popular one where I see this.
