Is this problem still present in current CVS?

Hi!
Since updating to current CVS from pre-savannah-hack CVS version i cannot connect to the core (running on another machine) with mldonkey-gui (old or new) any more.

An example core debug log:
-> The IP of the host requesting gui service from core is in nolimit_ips (tried without, didn't change anything).

[trying to connect using old_gui:]
Using protocol 14 for communications with the GUI
Network.room_users not implemented by Private
BUFFER OVERFLOW 0+3602485> 1000000
MESSAGE [(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)...]
BUFFER OVERFLOW

[trying with new_gui:]
CONNECTION FROM GUI
Using protocol 20 for communications with the GUI
Network.room_users not implemented by Private
BUFFER OVERFLOW 0+3602491> 1000000
MESSAGE [(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)(48)...]
BUFFER OVERFLOW

increasing interface_buffer to 3700000 yields:
[old_gui:]
CONNECTION FROM GUI
Using protocol 14 for communications with the GUI
Network.room_users not implemented by Private
[gui is at 100% cpu for 10-20 sec, not responding. after dropping again it is not_connected]

[new_gui:]
CONNECTION FROM GUI
Using protocol 20 for communications with the GUI
Network.room_users not implemented by Private
SIGPIPE
[same results as with old_gui ...]

The ocaml version used to compile mldonkey is 3.7+2 (debian).
And though i can't see how this could be related to linux, distribution or kernel: gnu/linux (debian/sid) on a 2.6.1-rc1-mm2 kernel.
