The setup is like this: Mldonkey running on a NAT firewall with a 10.0.0.0/8 internal network and dsl modem. The firewall is blocking all incoming RFC 1918 traffic but mldonkey is generating packets for different hosts on the 10.0.0.0/8 network. This is generating a lot of ARP traffic like because there are no peers on the internal network.
The fix would be an option for mldonkey to ignore all RFC 1918 peers.

Version used mldonkey-2.5-4 compiled from src.rpm
