Please check if this bug still is in current CVS version.
You should find a tarball of current CVS in files section of
this project: http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/mldonkey/

i am running Gentoo linux on a Sun Ultra 5.

I installed mldonkey about 3 months ago. At first I discovered that trying to start the gui would reproducably (also for others in #gentoo-sparc on freenode who tried it) lead to a bus error.

Well, that doesn't really matter, since mlnet would start up and run. At least for me, others reported it exiting right away.

I used telnet localhost 4000 to control it.

After usually 48 hours or something like that, mlnet would exit with the following error message:
Fatal error: out-of-bound access in array or string

I would then just restart it.

The last time I tried this, things didn't go so well, this time I'm seeing the following:
Network Donkey registered
Loading history file ...done
Network Soulseek registered
Could not load chunks states
Fatal error: out-of-bound access in array or string

before that, I never saw the "could not load chunks states" error message.

there is another message right at the start that was always there, with working mlnet and not-working one:
Your system supports 1024 file descriptors
Unable to compute correct Tiger trees.
Send a bug report with your configuration
and how you obtained this executable.
Running with Tiger tree corruption detection disabled.

this is compiled from source, a 32bit executable for UltraSparcII processor.

if you need any more info, please yell.
