I am able to use my USB keyboard at the boot prompt but I must use legacy USB settings in my BIOS on a MSI KT4AV motherboard. Then at the next screen after the kernel has started to boot and the language screen comes up. The keyboard is dead, if I plug in a PS/2 keyboard the USB keyboard then works. Upon continuing to boot I can then unplug the PS/2 keyboard and use my USB mouse and keyboard in Gnome with no problems. It appears that the kernel ignores keyboard input at this stage unless a PS/2 keyboard is plugged in, I don't use it I enter the correct value with the USB keyboard. I am using the latest RC release.
