My Project is a project on 'The State of Art Cyber Center' which includes the concept of Remote Booting and I have considered Linux as the platform for it. I configured the DHCP Server and TFTP Server both on the server machine. I also made a Bootable Floppy considering the GRUB as the boot loader and i m also able to start the access of the floppy and get 'grub>' prompt on my screen.
When i give some of the commands as 'dhcp' I get the address for the client, then the command, 'root (nd)', 'kernel /tftpboot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1' and then the 'boot' command I am able to start the boot process but after some time I get the message 'Kernel panic' and then the client machine stops responding.
I don't understand where and what I am missing? Do I have to configure the NFS Server for calling the Kernel file on to the Client machine, I need to do something else? I would request you to respond to this query as soon as possible b'coz my project is due to be submitted in this week. I am very upset since i am not able get to this conclusion since last two weeks. Kindly respond as early as possible
