I thought it would be natural to be able to specify the update target as an (optional) argument to the update command, so I went ahead and implemented it. It is available for review as revision 9796618fb33d65327ad00d8c235c4ff6bcf6fabe on joel.rosdahl.net (collection: net.venge.monotone, branch: net.venge.monotone.changesets, server key: http://joel.rosdahl.net/monotone.key).

oops... fat fingered the original submisstion

my working copy is up to date at d286dfc7a2c02c2adb4024cd3ea84b8a01df211c pulled from graydon's database

building this version seems to produce a broken monotone

I'd like to be able to revert my entire working tree to graydon's 6dcb42a98c752666c8728ab4d36456b6db9f7a46 version without losing all of the changes that I've made

njs described this to me as 'monotone update <target version>' work, even when <target version> is in the past. It's a funny requirement, but I think that its implemented just like a normal update on #monotone
