I've added a little bit of documentation to the help string, committed to the changeset branch, since that's the active branch.

I'm closing this bug.

Thanks, Richard, I did a quick test and it worked fine.

You might want to include the two different values that --ticker takes in the --help output. A more complete description of what it's showing somewhere would also be helpful.

I've implemented an option for this, called '--ticker'. It takes one of two values, 'count' or 'dot'. 'count' gives the old behavior, which 'dot' gives a progress bar of characters (not dots, as there usually is more than one ticker working at once).

The change has been pushed to the main server.

when running in shell-mode in xemacs TERM=emacs doing a monotone pull etc. gets a little long

monotone: [bytes in: 185] [bytes out: 47]
monotone: [bytes in: 185] [bytes out: 618]
monotone: [bytes in: 260] [bytes out: 618]
monotone: [bytes in: 287] [bytes out: 645]
monotone: [bytes in: 321] [bytes out: 661]

an option for just printing .'s or something would be good
