I will send a patch for this soon (implemented in the future GTK2 GUI). Lets say save the column sizes of the lists on GUI exit. When opening the GUI restore the previous sizes.

Every time i start mlgui, the columns in the [Download] tab are
restored to some unusable default size, and i have to readjust them by
hand. Not even the "autosize columns on first click onto column
titles"-feature of the old gui (and some tables in the new gui) works,
which is rather unnerving.
