bug #4290: [kfreebsd] <sys/types.h> wants __USE_BSD to typedef u_char and such

<net/if.h> and a lot other FreeBSD kernel headers won't compile. the problem is they use BSDish types such as u_char, u_long, u_int, u_short, caddr_t.

These types are declared in <sys/types.h>, but only when __USE_BSD is defined. Code using, say, <net/if.h> won't necessarily define __USE_BSD, so we either have to:

 - define __USE_BSD in <net/if.h> and other BSDish headers
 - define __USE_BSD in <sys/types.h>
 - fix all the unsupported types in headers like <net/if.h>
