Advanced Gtk+ Sequencer v0.8.x coming soon

For short GSequencer v0.7.x series goes to its ends. Only bug-fixes and stability improvements are commited to this branch. This was an exciting release. There has been added partial support of DSSI and Lv2. OSC and Lv2UI wasn't much recognized, yet. You have to wait for those features or you might want to contribute.

The automation editor supporting to automated plugin's ports was one of my most wanted features. This is probably going to be extended for built-in recalls. The most beloved feature is probably configuration in place. Modify output device, PCM channels, samplerate, buffer size or format without having to restart GSequencer.

The light-weight file format is not intended to super-seed the advanced XML IO. Rather to complete functionality and ease of use. Likewise the use of g_timeout_add() doesn't mean the AgsTask engine is obsolete. The opposite is the case, adding properties to all AgsTask sub-classes seems to be mandatory in order to implement remote control.

What's next

As you have read so far you might guess what stands out. A high priority task is to add ags-envelop and MIDI hardware support. Some of the works has already been started.

That's it I won't tell you more.

Bests,
Joël
