GSequencer 1.2.x goals

The goals of the next minor release is going to be quiet time expensive. I intend to add soundcard audio input to libags-audio. The additional functionality shall be provided to the UI, too.

In short terms doing the following:

  • AgsSoundBox - machine related to interact with raw audio data
  • AgsInputEditor - machine properties to assign soundcard to record from
  • AgsWaveWindow - toplevel window to do audio related editing
  • AgsWaveToolbar - wave editor toolbar
  • AgsWaveEditor - wave editor
  • AgsWaveEdit - editor front-end to do basic waveform manipulation
  • AgsDevin - ALSA and OSS4 soundcard input
  • AgsJackDevin - JACK audio connection kit audio input
  • AgsPulseDevin - Pulseaudio audio input

new machine SoundBox

Very basic machine that allows you to assign audio file or do recording.

The wave editor

A fully featured audio editor supporting copy & paste.

ALSA, OSS4, JACK and Pulseaudio

The most common audio backends shall get support to record sound.
