there is a problem showing the OSD graphics when tpb is started from xinit, apparently the problem exist when another application takes control of the root desktop area, in my case nautilus. This patch defer the initialization of XOSD until somthing is really needed to be displayed so it will use the current root window |

A new version of XOSD solves the problem, but I still thinks that this optimization is nice, XOSD is inly loaded if used
