I have the same difficulty.  Although the compilation has worked just fine, and Apparmor has been modified to allow dazuko insertion, the process fails.  As with Massimiliano, there is no other detail.  I have tried the suggestions in the faq, and have tried to hunt down any potentially interfering module, but to no avail.  I am using Ubuntu 7.10 (not Kubuntu) and the /var/log/message file indicates exactly the same...

Jan 13 19:22:44 DESKTOP kernel: [ 2029.148000] dazuko: failed to register

...there are no valuable lines preceding this one or following it.  It is the only message within 5 minutes of attempting to insert dazuko.  Any ideas?

ya, but don't work. I haven't more details, simply the module won't start :-(

Have you read through the FAQ? The section about failing to insert the module is the one most interesting to you:

I've same problem using Kubuntu 7.10. In /var/log/message
I can only read: "dazuko: failed to register"...

Some ideas?

This is a general error. Please look in /var/log/messages to see what the real problem is. Usually kernel messages are logged to this file.

I'm trying to setup Klamav for realtime virus scanning, which requires dazuko.

I'm having the same problem on the same platform:

Kubuntu Feisty
Linux Kernel 2.6.20-16-generic
dazuko 2.3.3
