1. You can have a look at the reference manual from the Help menu, and use the index to search for some topic, e.g. polyline.
You can also directly search the index from the help menu.

2. You can have a look at the source code for some class, e.g. the PolyLine is in PYFORMEX_INSTALL_PATH/pyformex/plugins/curve.py.

3. You can also have a look at relevant examples. E.g. from the menu: App->Examples->Techniques->PolyLine->Polyline will load the Polyline example. (It illustrates how the chordal approximation method seeds more points in regions of high curvature).
Hitting the Edit button will load the example in your editor.

E.g. polylines, curves, weighting (point/cell distribution along lines and curves etc.
