I've added some error processing related to file uploads; it works for files like 3.5MB long (the comment is added, and a warning is displayed), but for files about 10MB, the behavior is the same: it reloads the page with no diagnostics, I have no idea why.

> it'd be nice if there were a control to trash an already-selected--but not yet uploaded!--attachment in the reply composer.  To recover from the foregoing situation, I had to copy and paste my comment into a new browser tab on the same ticket URL, because there was no way to get rid of the presumptively invalid attached file.

As a side effect, the 'Preview' button resets attached files, but all at once.

Thank you, I'll look into this.

I recently tried to attach an 8.5MiB .tar.gz file to a Savannah ticket comment.

https://savannah. ... u.org/bugs/?67599

Savannah discarded my comment and attachment--with no notice whatsoever of error--and navigated me back to the ticket page as if I were freshly visiting it.

Fortunately, I was able to click back in my browser and recover my comment.

I think Savannah should put up an error page if it rejects the attachment, and say why.

Also, and yes this should probably be a separate ticket, it'd be nice if there were a control to trash an already-selected--but not yet uploaded!--attachment in the reply composer.  To recover from the foregoing situation, I had to copy and paste my comment into a new browser tab on the same ticket URL, because there was no way to get rid of the presumptively invalid attached file.
