Hiya,

I have just added ftp.proxy to my squid proxy servers, which are behind a load-balancer. Clients only have access to the VIP of the load-balancer; they cannot connect to the real servers.

I can make an FTP connection perfectly, but when I attempt a LIST, the PORT returns the node's real IP address and the connection fails, leaving an error in my FTP client.

Even when I allow direct conncetion to the node's IP addresses, my firewall's FTP inspection catches the PORT command issuing a different IP address and blocks the traffic. That's my problem though. :-)

It would be useful if there was a feature allowing me to specify a hostname or IP address as the 'identity' of the server. I'm not much of a coder (never touched C), but could this be done easily?

Thanks!
