While attempting to compile fastcgi++ on OpenIndiana (SunOS 5.11), compilation failed on protocol.hpp in the definition of enum RecordType ERR=7.  The exact details of the error are in the attached error.txt file.

I fixed the issue by renaming ERR to ERROR in the definition of RecordType on line 83 or protocol.hpp, as well as its usage in request.hpp at line 258.
