Hi Dave,

storeBackup is backup tool.

What you want is mirroring or replication. If you want to do this synchronously, have a look at eg. http://www.drbd.org/ ; if you want to copy files asynchronously, http://rsync.samba.org/ might be useful.

But it's important that you know what you are doing. Several files of the operating system must be different (eg. files with the ip address in it). But that kind of replication helps to get a better availability. But it's not a backup because you will have no history. This means if you trash a file it's also broken on the other server. You will have no change to get it back.

Best Regards, Heinz-Josef

Hi

Great Script!

I want to make a 1-to-1 Backup from Server A to Server B. The Files in Server B should be the same as on Server A. When a File is deleted on Server A, it should be deleted on the next Backup-Run on Server B. I call it "Sync-Backup", every changes made on Server A should be done on Server B at the next run. I don't want any History-Files at the Backup.

So, my question: How is the syntax to do this Job with storeBackup?

Kind regards, Dave
