"The TV channels in Europe are standardizing on the ITU R128 loudness standard based on the loudness measurement standard ITU BS.1770 standard.  This is related to the dBFS scale normalize-audio operate on, but it not quite the same according to a report from BBC.

It would be great if the normalize-audio tool supported normalizing to a specific LUFS level. [...]"
