Thank you for such a quick reply.

To confirm, your suggestion works. Adding:

cpIsGnu=yes

Has fixed the problem for me and my backup is once again running!

I'm curious though what caused this; do I have a socket/FIFO or something exotic in my backup set?

Thanks again.

Hi,

please try to set option --cpIsGnu (or set cpIsGnu=yes in the configuration file).

Hello,

I've been a very happy storeBackup user for many years. It's great.

Most times if I have trouble with my backups, I can fix it myself from the logs and manuals.

However, today I found a new problem which does not make sense to me:

ERROR     2016.05.01 09:55:40  2817 no gnucp: internal error: cannot save file tyes Sbcp
ERROR     2016.05.01 09:55:40  2817 caught signal 1, terminating

I am running xubuntu 15.04

Any idea what the problem is here or how to troubleshoot?
