"irc.look.item_channel_modes_hide_arguments" with a comma
separated list of channel modes would be a good idea.

This makes the option "irc.look.item_channel_modes_hide_key" obsolete.

How about "irc.look.item_channel_modes_hide_arguments"? (This feature request is for hiding /all/ arguments, anyway.)

You are right. The option name is to specific. The routine itself, is working for freenode "+f", too. The "forward" channel will be
hidden if option is "on".

Any idea for option name?

nils_2, your patch is a bit too specific to UnrealIRCd... other ircds use +f for different purposes.

Some channels have modes with long argument lists, such as:

+nrcTfj [3c#C3,4j#R8,3k#K6,20m#M10,3n#N6,6t#b]:5 4:5

(flood-protection settings for UnrealIRCd)

+CLPcntjf 5:10 #freenode-unreg

(join-flood settings and forwarding target on ircd-seven)

These cause other items such as lagmeter and hotlist to scroll off-screen in a average-sized terminal.

An option to only display modes without arguments (just "+nrcTfj" and "+CLPcntjf") in the status bar would be useful.
