The user shouldn't configure the sample rate / oversampling parameters.
Instead, he/she should configure a frequency range for his/her instrument, and let Lingot do the rest. Then we could choose between performing the resampling by ourselves or to delegate in other system like PulseAudio (when available).
The user should then be able to express the frequency range with notes related to the defined scale, like "E2 - A4" (standard EADGBE guitar), or to choose from a predefined list of instruments.
A good choice for the effective sample rate should be the minimum frequency that includes the third harmonic.
