Also, we discourage short non-descriptive Unix names for groups; what about renaming it like db-audit?

Description:

One line description:
It is an extendable configuration flaws detector for MySQL, Redis, Hadoop, etc.

Programming Language:
Python + XML

Purpose:
As more and more companies and individuals need to perform big data analysis today, databases become more commonly used and deployed. However, most databases suitable for big data analysis are opensourced and have no support team. Thus, most users may deploy them insecurely. Take Redis as an example: most user would just download the binary package, install it, and think they have successfully deployed it. Indeed, they also need to set a password, forbid remote accesses, rename some dangerous commands, etc. Now, this software could check whether users have done these things and recommend what to do. Hopefully, it could increase the security level of databases.

Supported DBs:
1. Redis
2. MySQL/MariaDB
3. Hadoop
4. Spark

Other Software Required:

PyMySQL + X11 + https://github.com/PyMySQL/PyMySQL

Tarball URL:
