[field #14]      Original Submission: When embedded on a page, it would be interesting for debugging if there was a possibility added to the gnash click menu, to reopen a flash in the standalone player (that would mimic what happened when gtk_plug didn't worked), such that it is possible to compare.

I'm not sure this is relevant anymore, because we currently launch a new gnash player and make it output into the Firefox window.

Also, this option would probably be difficult to implement, because it would be a pop-up menu option, which would only show up after the plugin has successfully embedded the new Gnash process.

On the other hand, it might still be useful for debugging movies that suck up your CPU.

A penny for your thoughts, Rob?

Of course it is a feature request, but I haven't found another way to enter that feature request :-\. Thanks anyway.

This isn't really a bug, it's a feature request. :-) I took a look, and it's harder to do this than you would think, because the window creation is done long before the main loop, and all that code right now is an ifdef mess. I am planning on reorganzing the frontend GUI code after the release, so doing something like this after that will be much easier.

One of these days I want to add a flash debugger into Gnash, so at that point this option would launch the debugger and graphics in a new window probably.
