Yes I think that changing of /(de)op and /(de)voice behaviour is possible but I'm not main developer so it not depends on me.

ad to the ban: it is offtopic and I do not know, maybe you should join IRC and discuse it there.

Ah, it could actually be that using /mode command works as intended.

In that case, would it be possible to enable a similar behaviour for /(de)op and /(de)voice commands?

It's a bit offtopic, but it reminded me of a ban command - likewise, would it be feasible to implement definable banmasks for use with /ban command? Currently it simply bans nick!*@*.

If you use '/mode #chan +ooo Nick Nick2 Nick3' then WeeChat send it and show 'Mode #chan [+ooo Nick Nick2 Nick3] by NickMe'. Problem is when you use /(de)op or /(de)voice commands with more then one argument.

I usually use the latest version built from CVS.

What you said is indeed a case when third person (using irssi, for example) changes modes, but not when I (i.e. first person, user of weechat) do it (everytime I change multiple modes, I see line by line output and so is it seen from within other clients).

Thus, it appears to me that weechat sends invidual mode changes to server, not grouped. That way or another, it behaves differently when changing modes than irssi (and perhaps other clients).

What version do you use? From version 0.2.0 are mode changes shown in way how server sends them. So if server sends "MODE #channel +o-v Nick Nick2 :Nick3" then WeeChat show somethink like that "mode changed [+o-v Nick Nick2] by Nick3".

It would be lovely if modes changes could be "queued", as in irssi, i.e. opping three nicks would result in a "+ooo nick1 nick2 nick3", not three separate mode changes on three lines - which causes something akin flooding, especially when opping lots of people.

I hope I'm not missing anything obvious.
