GNU Herds - Free Software Association - Cookbook: recipe #153, The Git master server
recipe #153: The Git master server
The Git master repository of gnuherds-app is at Savannah. The PostgreSQL database and the website is at the gnuherds.org host.
Before getting write access to the Savannah Git repository, you should register at the Savannah development site and ask to join the project. Normally, you can get write access when committing your first patch.
Anyhow, if you do not want register at Savannah you can build your own Git server. We will pull your changes. That is the good thing of non-centralized repositories.
Hints:
- Register at Savannah.
- Request for inclusion in the project.
- Browse the repository online.
- Read the Using Git guide.
You can use ssh-agent to avoid writing the passphrase at every Git command:
ssh-agent
ssh-add
